Timothy “Timmy” Joyce started his career with the NYPD on 1/25/1982 and was working in the Highway 1 Precinct as a motorcycle officer before transferring to the Westchester County Police on 8/7/1989.   When WCPD reinstated the motorcycle unit Tim was instrumental in making it a success and was a fixture there, as well as in the Town of Cortland precinct, until his recent retirement due to illness.  Timmy was well respected by his peers and took part in training a generation of Police Officers in operating Police Vehicles as an EVOC instructor, at Motorcycle training, and patrolling within the Town of Cortland.  We will miss his presence, his stories, and most importantly his friendship. Funeral Services for Tim will be on Friday 04/29/2022, He will then be given a full motorcyle escort to his final resting place at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
